Advantages
- Aesthetically, the watch is a win. The black strap and silver metal making up the face of the watch makes it wearable with any outfit—whether it’s a suit and tie or a polo shirt and shorts.
- The silver metal won’t let you down either—it’s made of Japanese quartz as well as waterproof material. Remember when you had to wash your hands and had to avoid getting your watch wet? Not a problem with this watch!
- It is also shock resistant. So the next time you accidentally drop this watch, there’s no need to say goodbye to your watch. It’s shock resistant up to 99 feet.
- This watch won’t add to the weight when you’re dragging yourself to work—it’s so lightweight, you won’t even feel time weighing you down. Literally.
- It’s also elegance which doesn’t need any breaking in. The leather is soft enough to be worn straight out of the box.
- The thin face and strap makes it suitable to wear with shirt dresses and French cuffs. It won’t bulk so much, so there’s no need to roll up the sleeves.
- The face is big—around an in and a half in diameter—so you don’t need to hunch over your watch just to look at the time.
- The big face of the watch complements big wrists, and gives the illusion of bigger wrists for people who have smaller wrists.
- The waterproof feature of the watch comes into play when you’re going in and out of the cold office and the hot, humid streets. The moist will not damage the watch, and your sweat will not penetrate the watch and stop the time from ticking.
Disadvantages: Too classy, too big?
- The watch may be too lightweight for some people, though. For people who are used to wearing heavy watches, the switch may prove to be a little challenge.
- The strap is also lightweight, so for people who have thin wrists, I suggest taking it to the store to have another hole pierced to make the fit better.
- The face, which doesn’t show the numbers of the clock, may slow you down when you’re feeling a little panicky. It also is something that needs getting used to.
- Although the watch is water-resistant, I do not recommend swimming with the watch. The strap is still made of leather.
- The face, which is a little bigger than standard men’s watches, may also take some getting used to especially for men who have small wrists.
- Calf skin may become discolored after the usual wear and tear, so I strongly suggest that when that happens, take your watch to the watch repair shop to have the strap replaced.
